The U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota hosts
The International Exhibit: Lawyers Without Rights: Jewish Lawyers in Germany Under the Third Reich

This Opening Ceremony will be the first opportunity for the public to view this thought-provoking exhibit about the disenfranchisement of lawyers and judges by Hitler's decree in 1933. At the conclusion of the Ceremony, there will be a docent led tour of the exhibit for those interested.

The program will include welcoming remarks by Chief Judge Michael Davis, remarks by two Minnesota scholars whose grandfathers were impacted by this decree, remarks by the Honorary German Consul Christa Tiefenbacher-Hudson and a presentation of Butterfly Songs by Momoko Tanno, music based on poetry written by children imprisoned at Teretzin concentration camp.
